This is my favorite song called Billionaire. It is a song with different point of sews depending on the person who listens to it. This songs tries to explain several things that are very different from one another. One important fact is that the song is written and sung by two very different artists who have different music styles and ways to see or interpret the meaning of the music they sing in different aspects. Everything that is said in this song makes sense and it is also a kind of criticism to the society we live in today. What we can expect from this song, is a description of what is happening in society related to the dreams of people. These different ideas are sung y different artists in this song, which makes more sense due to the music style each singer uses in their music. To understand the meaning that artists give to their song, it is useful to analyze the entire song and each of its stanzas. In the first stanza, which is sung by Bruno Mars, he is talking about being famous and earning a lot of money. .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b , .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b .postImageUrl , .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b , .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b:hover , .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b:visited , .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b:active { border:0!important; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b:active , .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u58341d7634a1e99be392abd3b7f3527b:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: In Flanders Field EssayToday, all of us want to be that person , so it is a kind of dream he wants to achieve in order to be famous and be calm buying all the things and worries that have always been with him in his life. After reading this stanza, we can suppose that e comes from the bottom and he wants to achieve a lot of more things in life, using exaggerations as examples to be more specific with the public he refers. He uses free style in this stanza and the rhyme is meaningful at the end of every single verse in this stanza because he mixes consonant between the two first lines and assonant in the last two lines of the stanza. What he is trying to achieve with this rhyme is giving continuity to the poem and he also refers to key words with this rhyme to get the reader or listener involved into the song and try to lead people to remember the rods that rhyme, that are meaningful with the main message of this song. In the second stanza, he still seems to be decided to fulfill his dream of being a billionaire. He also says I swear the world better prepare to express like a feeling or sensation of change in the world. Maybe he does not like the actual world he lives in and the decisions that are taken everyday in the world that surrounds us, as an example of injustice. This second stanza is very significant because it gives the public a sensation of freedom and things that are going to be better in the world when he is alienator, something that tells us that he is trying to say that in the actual world the only thing that could change the world and its principles is the money. All this message makes more sense when we look at the rhyme of this stanza. Again, he uses consonant and assonant rhyme at the end of each line but, it is because we wants people to remember that parts of the song, which reinforces the main objective of this criticism to society we live in. Furthermore, The third stanza is one of the most significant along the entire song. It is sung by the other artist, Travis McCoy, and even he rhythm of the song changes in comparison from the beginning where Bruno Mars is the singer. I think the rhythm and intensity of the instruments and song changes because , Travis is trying to focus more on the real world we are living in instead of thinking about dreams and promises as Bruno Mars does in the first two stanzas. In addition, the reason why the rapper, in this case Travis, sings the third stanza where all the criticism and sarcasm take place is because he is more allowed to use the rhyme in all his lines and transmit his ideas about worlds situation with ore freedom and respect. As a result, in this third stanza, the author is talking about the injustice that surrounds the world we live in today. He refers to the million of people who do not have nothing in their lives in comparison to people who have millions and millions of dollars and do not do anything for society and help poor people to grow and to success in life. This stanza also criticizes the political systems and governments all around the world that get rich while others suffer and do not have anything to sleep on or to eat. This author puts an example of Brad Pit and Angelina , who have adopted abandoned children, as famous and very wealth people who have done something admirable for society and for these poor children that did not have even a family. .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 , .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 .postImageUrl , .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 , .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138:hover , .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138:visited , .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138:active { border:0!important; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138:active , .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138 .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uc6155f22e9adf11bb5f1e5b4689a2138:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Prospective Analysis: Forecasting EssayIn addition, he uses a comparison that can be used as a sarcasm as well between him and Santa Claus, saying that if he were rich, he had given everything poor children and adults needed, by the example of Strain, that organizations did nothing productive in order to give the children more benefits like houses, families and food. The next stanza is the one that sings Bruno Mars and it s repeated two more times until the end of the song and to give like a breath of fresh air to the public with all the critics and ideas that surrounds society in this song. But the stanza that is between the ones from Bruno Mars is sung again by Travis and a critical response to politicians. In this stanza he says that he could be playing basketball with the president and his delegates referring to the idea that they are friends and they manage the way they win money and they benefit themselves without caring for most needed people. With this expression, Travis not refers only to he bad criteria politicians and governors have on the decisions they have to take to enhance the quality of life of citizens. It also wants to explain through an hyperbole dunking on his delegates , that is presented as an impossible fact and exaggeration, the idea of punish bad decisions of delegates of the president and the wrong decisions they have taken towards society only getting benefits themselves. Through this hyperbole, it is shown as an example that delegates should do their labor better than they are doing today to grow as a society and not giving up. Finally, the very sat sentence I want be a billionaire so bucking bad! can be considered as another literary resource , because the authors use this specific line alone but it has a lot of meaning. Also, this line is an exclamation because it uses ! at the end of it. That tells us that is a wish both authors want to make reality and it is used alone with the exclamation sign to attract peoples attention and to give a message related to having money how things would change for better, to help others and to create a better society and world to live in. As a conclusion, I have chosen this song because every mime I listen to it I think about the real meaning of things and I appreciate even more what my family and friends do for me every day. I also think about the incredible luck I have by having born where I was born and be thankful and enjoy every little detail that life gives me. Also, as a citizen of the world, I always try to help with my little help through charity to the most needed ones. We all have to think as a united group, it is hard to say , but, when people realize about the incredible power that a united humanity could have by being everybody at the same level and help each other unconditionally, the world would be completely different and a better world to live in .
